These encounters offer valuable rewards, including Arcane Enhancements, Focus points, and Sentient Cores. Whether you’re a new Tenno or an experienced hunter, this guide will help you understand the mechanics and strategies for taking down these formidable foes.** ---- **1. Basics of Eidolon Hunting** Eidolons spawn only during nighttime on the Plains of Eidolon, Earth. * There are three types of Eidolons: * Teralyst (Terry): The smallest and easiest to defeat. * Gantulyst (Garry): A mid-sized Eidolon with more complex mechanics. * Hydrolyst (Harry): The largest and most challenging Eidolon. Eidolons drop valuable resources, including [[guide:sentientcore | Sentient Cores]], Eidolon Shards, and [[guide:arcane | Arcanes]]. **Preparing for Eidolon Hunts** Before you venture out to hunt Eidolons, make sure you’ve done the following: * **Unlock your [[guide:operator | Operator]] form.** You need to access the Operator in order to fight Eidolons, in order to do that, you need to complete [[guide:warwithin | The War Within]] quest to unlock all your Operator's abilities. * **Obtain Lures.** * Lures are essential for capturing Eidolons. Equip yourself with charged lures, each charged with 3 Vomvalysts, before starting the hunt. * **Mod for [[guide:damagetypes | Radiation]] Damage.** * Eidolons are immune to all status effects, except Void. Mod your weapons for Radiation damage to deal the maximum damage to Eidolons. **3. Taming the Teralyst** **The Teralyst is the entry-level Eidolon. Follow these steps to take it down.** //Step 1: Prep Work// * **Find It.** The Teralyst spawns from a random inland lake accompanied by a giant pillar of light; look for the pillar to locate it. * **Obtain Lures.** * **Mod for Radiation Damage.** //Step 2: Engage the Teralyst// * **Damage Its Shields.** Use your Operator’s Void Beam to remove its shields by shooting the glowing weak points on its limbs to deal damage. * **Destroy Its Synovias.** The Teralyst has four Synovias (glowing nodes) on its limbs Destroy these nodes to weaken the Teralyst. * **Capture or Kill.** You can either kill the Teralyst for loot or capture it for bonus rewards. To capture, use charged Lures to immobilize it. ---- **Remember, Eidolon hunting is a team effort. Communicate with your squad, learn the mechanics, and may your hunts be successful!**
