Guiding Tenno, igniting stars.

MAIN GUIDE | BACK TO INTRO

Let’s delve into the fascinating world of the Foundry in Warframe. The Foundry is where you craft new weapons, Warframes, and other equipment. Understanding how it works is essential for your progression. Whether you’re a new Tenno or need a refresher, this guide will help you make the most of the Foundry:

What is the Foundry?

The Foundry is the section of your Orbiter responsible for crafting Warframes, weapons, and other gear.
It’s where you turn blueprints and resources into usable items.

Accessing the Foundry:

There are two ways to access the Foundry in your Orbiter:

Trough the Pause Screen:
  • Press ESC and click on EQUIPMENT.
  • Then click on FOUNDRY.
Walk Over to the Foundry in the Orbiter:
  • Press X to access the foundry.

Crafting an item:

crafting an item involves several steps:

Acquire the Blueprint:

  • Obtain blueprints for the item you want to craft.
  • Blueprints can be purchased from the Market module in the Orbiter or obtained from Research rooms in a Dojo.
  • Some blueprints are rewards from bosses, Nightwave Offerings, or Orokin Void and Orokin Derelict missions.

Gather Materials:

  • Blueprints require materials (resources or intermediate parts) and some Credits.
  • Certain weapons may even require another weapon or two to construct (usually dual-wielded secondary weapons).

Start the Build Process:

  • Initialize the build process in the Foundry.
  • The Foundry will continue building the item even when you’re logged out.
  • Items with long build times (like Warframes) will be available in a set number of days regardless of in-game playtime.

Claim the completed item:

  • Once the item is complete, claim it from the Foundry.
  • It will be placed in your inventory for use.

Tips:

Forma and Reactors / Catalysts:

  • Keep Forma, Orokin Reactors, and Orokin Catalysts.
  • Use Forma to polarize slots and optimize your builds.

Inventory Slots:

  • Purchase additional Warframe and weapon slots using Platinum.
  • Prioritize Warframe slots, as you’ll collect more Warframes than weapons.

Remember, the Foundry is your crafting hub. Use it wisely, create powerful gear, and may your Arsenal grow!
