Luminaris Academy - Warframes For The Beginner

Guiding Tenno, Igniting Stars.

I would like to start out by saying this is only a suggestion not a requirement, but based upon views of multiple players in the Family, we came up with the following suggestions:

Starting out, it don't really matter what Warframe you pick. The following is how you obtain each one in game:

  • Excaliber - You can obtain the blueprints from defeating Lieutenatnt Letch Krill on War on Mars. The main blueprint can be bought from the in game market for 35,000 credits. OR you can purchase a fully built Volt for 75 Platinum.
  • Mag - You can obtain the blueprints from defeating The Sergeant in Iliad on Phobos. The main blueprint can be bought from the in game market for 25,000 credits,OR you can purchase a fully built Mag for 75 Platinum.
  • Volt - You can obtain the blueprints from the Tenno Lab in the Dojo. Main blue print cost 35,000 credits while the systems, neuroptics and chassis all cost 15,000 credits a piece.OR you can purchase a fully built Volt for 75 Platnum from the in game market.

The Warframes we highly suggest and why you should have them in your core collection:

Wukong

  • He's obtained from the Tenno Lab in the Dojo, You can buy his main blue print for 35,000 credits, while his component blue prints are 15,000 a piece.
  • He's an overall general frame that will do most missions, his 1st ability being his celestial twin will give you a duplicate of your frame and will fight along side you.
  • Note: the weapon you give him will consume your Ammo. So try giving him only stuff that doesn't run out of ammo. He also won't use the same weapon your using so,

if you use a main weapon that runs out of ammo, use that weapon. His cloud walker ability is good for flying around the map (only works based upon your duration) He also has an innate ability where you get 3 free passes on dying before you actual die. So if there is a mission where you can't die or you fail, he's great for that.

Rhino

  • Rhino comments are obtained by running the Jackel boss fight in Fossa on Venus. His main blue print is obtained from the in game market for 35,000 credits OR you can purchase a fully built Rhino for 375 platinum.
  • Rhino is, Well a Tank. Using strength and fortitude, he loves to rush head first into enemies and do hand to hand combat. He uses his brute force to get the job done.
  • He's mainly used for his 2nd ability Rhino Skin to give himself Over Shields that only subpar too Dante when it comes to the shields.
  • His 3rd ability is highly sought after on other warframes later in game giving the whole squad a damage buff based upon your duration and strength.

Nekros

  • Nekros compents are obtained by running the Lephantis in Magnacidium, over on Deimos. The main blue print is bought from the in game market for 100,000 Credits. OR His fully built frame can be bought from the in game market for 375 platinum.
  • Nekros uses the power of dark arts and necromancers. His famous 3rd ability Desecrate allows players to slash the enemies and take advantage of increased drops.
  • His 4th is shadows of the dead, that allows Nekros to summon fallen enemies to aid him in his cause.

Titania

  • To obtain her both her main and component blueprints, you have to farm The Silver Grove quest. To unlock the quest you must be Mastery Rank of 7 or higher and completed The Second Dream. OR You can buy her from the in game market for 275 Platninum.
  • When in her 4th ability called Razer Wing, her entourage of bladed butterflies scatter their dust to disorient, enchant and beckon foes to their doom.
  • Her Exalted primary guns (Dex Pixia) are very powerful. If you build them right, they can take you way into steel path.
  • She's been known to cheese Multiple Mastery Rank tests.
  • She is very useful for doing relic runs, because of her speed.
  • If built right, can be a good general frame that can be used in many situations.

Valkyr

  • Her component blueprints are obtained by defeating Alid V in Themisto on the planet Jupiter. Her Main blueprint is purchased from the in game market for 35,000 credits. OR you can purchase her fully built warframe from the in game market for 300 Platinum.
  • Valkyr's 1st ability her Rip Line has 2 different effects, if she throws out her hook, and it hits an enemy, she pulls them to her. If it hits terrain, it pulls her to the hook's location.
  • Valkyr's 4th ablity Hysteria. She becomes imbued with energy and becomes a ball of vicious rage, capable of unleashing a torrent of deadly claw attacks on unsuspecting foes.

Wisp

  • Wisp, Harder to get ALL her components are from the Ropalolyst in the Ropalolyst on Jupiter. OR His fully built frame can be bought from the in game market for 325 platinum.
  • Wisp is a support frame that uses her 2nd ability her motes to give support buffs like speed, vitality and shock.
  • Can used to cheese the mastery 19 test using her passive ability. Her breach surge is highly sought after to be subsumed onto other frames.

Mirage

  • Her components are obtained by the Hidden Messages Quest and can grab the main blueprint for 35,000 credits in the in game market. OR His fully built frame can be bought from the in game market for 275 platinum.
  • Marage is used to do Map Nuking. With her augmentation Explosive Lederman, it turns her 2nd ability slight of hand into bombs out of the drops. Exploding the enemies when they come close.
  • Her 4th ability fires an energy prism that shoots lasers in all directions. Activating it again detonates the prism, blinding the nearby foes.

The Following are End Game Warframes that can only be obtained by either playing platinum in the in game market, or by buying the prime variant if possible:

Basic Warframes that are mid/end game level without Prime Variants:

Dante

  • The reason why Dante is being recommended is because not only does he have the ability to give himself insane amount of over shields, it also extends to everyone in the squad.
  • His 1st ability is his Noctua an Exalted Tome, that if built correctly is very powerful.
  • Dante can be purchased early on via the in game market for 350 platinum.

Kullervo

  • his 2nd ability, if you kill an enemy, it will transfer the same damage/status effects to all the surrounding enemies.
  • his 4th ability rains down dangers and is really good a crowd control.
  • Another reason consider purchasing him in the beginning is that he will help you out later on in the game.
  • You can obtain him by going to the in game market and paying 325 platinum.
